Use this modular Fx 9V power accessory brick to control the speed of connected motors, trains, or other variable speed/voltage power accessories. The 9005 is part of a system of modular accessory products designed to be connected to each other. When connected, they can share/distribute power and combine together as a control panel which you can build!
The 9005 offers precise continuously variable control of motor speed with a high precision linear slider. A simple push-button control is used to pause an active motor or toggle motor direction when stopped. Multi-colour LED indicators show direction of operation, output state, as well as alerts for issues such as output overload. The 9005 is conveniently powered with any USB Type C power delivery (PD) power source which offers a standard 9V/3A power profile. Multiple 9005 units can be powered with one or more USB PD sources since all 9005 units share power automatically with neighbouring Fx 9V power accessory bricks using simple magnetic latching power connectors. With 2.5 A of continuous current capacity, the 9005 delivers significant power output capable of driving multiple motor loads and big train layouts.
In addition to the awesome electrical performance of the 9005, it is designed to be a functional and literal building block! Its ABS enclosure is molded in a stylish two-tone grey colour combination and is fully compatible with the LEGO System connection grid. Measuring exactly 4 x 16 studs x 6 plates tall with top-side studs, bottom-side anti-studs and Technic pin holes; the 9005 can be brick-built into your creations or combined with other Fx 9V units to make custom control panels! Decorate the control surfaces with bricks, coloured tiles or other LEGO elements to creatively integrate the 9005 into your layout or creations.
The 9005 can be bought together with an Fx Bricks USB Type C PD source (9027) or separately for use with your own USB power adaptor.
